The 1180 was borne from the launch of the 1280S, which has proved to be one of the most successful models that Stevens build. The 1180 has many subtle changes to her superstructure and has the benefit of being wider in the beam, windows within her forward coachroof section, aft deck canopy enclosure and radar arch as standard.

This makes the exterior helm console suitable for all weathers both offshore and inland and negates the need for the optional interior helm.
