New air of optimism at this years' Southampton boat show
Posted on Tuesday 07 October 2014
The sun shone at Southampton this year – a far cry from the 2013 event which endured one of the wettest weeks of the year.
This year the new Grey and White colour scheme of the Linssen Grand Sturdy 34.9 Sedan was on display for the first time, attracting many admirers and positive comments alike.
Colin Watts – Linssen UK Sales Director commented “It was a fabulous 10 days at the 2014 Southampton Boat Show with more than 112,000 people enjoying the boating festival. The weather had been glorious and spirits had been high.” Colin was also pleased to add that deposits for both new and pre-owned boats were also taken at the show and ongoing enquires were strong.
A spokesman for the show added: “We are very happy with how the event has gone and have certainly seen a lot of happy faces. There was also a lot more positivity and enthusiasm in the market this year, as we emerge from the recession.”
BOAT SHOWROOMS HOSTS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RECEPTION & DRINKS PARTY FOR THE LINSSEN OWNERS UK ASSOCIATION AT THE BOAT SHOW
The Linssen Owners reception – now an annual event, was held on Monday 15th September at the show and hosted by Colin and Donna from Boat Showrooms together with special guest Ed Houben from the Linssen factory.
Over 40 Linssen owners were invited and the afternoon was, as usual, a great success with many cruising stories and much joviality. We are grateful to the LOA Secretary Edward Creswick and his wife Sheila for the tireless work they undertake on behalf of the association.
